Art Reproduction
on Canvas The art of printing directly
onto canvas is a relatively new and highly technical development
which has revolutionised the reproduction of works of art. The
very special surface of canvas, having a granulation which
repeats, in its wide range, the consistency of original
paintings, enables the reproduction of the Masters works of art
not only in the subtleties of tone and colour of the original,
but adding a third dimension in surface texture. This remarkable
property, offers to the art printer the possibility to
faithfully reproduce, by a special technical approach, the
chromatic preciousness typical of the Masters paitings, assuring
the colour vibration which can rarely be obtained with other
types of reproduction. The effect is still further enhanced by
mouting the canvas on a wedged stretcher and framing with no
need for glass, achieving a remarkably accurate replica that
capturs the full beauty of the artist’s original painting. The
canvas consistency assuring that colours will not fade. Makes
almost unlimited the life of these superb art replicas, ofthen a
good money investment.
Looms Our looms are handmade and are provided with grooves where keys
are inserted to allow the right tension to be achieved on the
canvas as required.
The canvas The reproduction of excellent and immutable copies of the most
famous paintings in oil requires a cotton canvas identical to
those used by the painters. They are produced on special looms;
and are “prepared” for the chromolithographic reproduction. To
receive from 6 to 13 colors is necessary to reproduce the most
subtle nuances of the original painting. Chromolithography
achieves excellent results at an affordable price because it
allows the possibility to realize “multiples of the original”,
they are printed one by one, while the previous color wipes.
The firmness and the ductility of the canvas allows for assembly
on a loom and to frame without glass, so you can feel the real
quality of the original painting.
The touch up Is an exclusive pictorial technique which faith fully reproduces
the brush strokes of the artist. This is carried out by
experienced copyists who place them onto the canvas. In this way
they can emphasize the depth, tones and softening of the color.
With this technique works are affirmed and they are known in the
world by the slogan “The best after the original”.
Passeportout They are a completion for the frame that underlines the gap with
the painting. Our passepartout are made with wood, they are
finished by a beige color with the internal liner/slip in gold
or silver. They are approximately 3.5cms x 3.5cms. We supply
them for the small paintings, but there is an option for the
larger sizes.
Plates They complete the painting that has the passepartout. On the
plate is written the name of the painter. They are made by
shaped otto of 6 cm width x 8 mm height. They are applied onto
the passepartout with two small otto nails.
The certificate Our reproductions are sent with a certificate of origin that
states the quality and the originality of Mondial Art, it show’s
the painter’s name, the title of the work, and the size.
Why a reproduction of art is not a painting? Because the
originals of our pictures are visible only in a museum or in a
private picture gallery. For this reason many people cannot buy
them. A person, who appreciates “the beauty”, is not forced to
deprive themselves of a work of art because they cannot afford
it. A famous painter said: “An excellent reproduction is
thousand fold more beautiful as that of an ugly original”!
What is the value of a reproduction? We cannot talk about a
mercenary value; it is the same of its real purchase or a bit
more. We can say that the real esteem of a reproduction is its
faithfulness to the original and every day you can feel the work
of the artists in whose genius will live forever.
Who
buys a reproduction Our customers are much varied, for example architects, interior
designers, and several artists. There is also another category
that is growing such as people that like beautiful things to
furnish their houses. Can you furnish a house with
these reproductions A reproduction can be utilized to furnish a house or an office.
A way to cultivate and increase the displayed art with one’s own
taste.
Which is the secret of good furniture? Furniture is the expression of a personal taste. An artist
reproduction is a poetic and aesthetic expression that cannot be
discussed.
Could we collect a reproduction? The creation of an art reproduction gallery is a very common
hobby. People usually collect works of a particular artist, a
particular interest or a particular age. For example: the
impressionists, still life, Italian or English scenery, or
Canaletto, Rembrandt, Modigliani. To have a collection represent
an aesthetic fulfillment can create a personal satisfaction.
Is a reproduction a good idea for a present? A reproduction can be a thoughtful and personalized refined
present, moreover, a painting can be forever and also the giver
will be forever remembered.
